Feeling fat from savouring Singapore's never-ending food options? Want to work out but just can't seem to get your engine started? Or not willing to miss your favourite TV show because of gym?

Fret not. The OSIM uTrek is literally the best invention ever for couch potatoes (a.k.a the laziest people in the world who really know that they should work out to keep fit but never bothered finding time for it).

The machine comes with six different speeds, but you can choose the "type" of climb you want. Most importantly, it is a trekking machine. You can hike up Bukit Timah hill while fixing your eyes on your channel 8 drama. Killing two birds with one stone! No time wasted, and you get the best of both worlds.

This machine may not look it, but it will definitely make you break a sweat.
For storing purposes, you can fold it and slide it under beds or store in a corner.

I would recommend it to busy workaholics who have no time for the gym but possess a fervent desire to keep fit. Also, for people who are afraid of the sun and insects, you can trek at home and tone that ass in the comfort of your home.

No more reason for my mom to slack when watching her favourite dramas!

My mom's thoughts and review:

After giving birth to Jem, work and fatigue made me put on weight. Over time, diabetes also came with age, together with the lack of diet control and exercise.

With the arrival of uTrek, I'm pleased to say that it is a stone that kills two birds. It is a breeze to watch tv while exercising! It is also user friendly and a storage after using is a walk in the park.

The gradient is standard but comes with 6 different speeds for everyone in the family.

Last but not least, thank you OSIM and The Influencer Network for sending me uTrek.

Burn fats, burn!

By the way, some good news to share!

Recently, I got married and...

Masego Safari Spa is the newest installation by Mary Chia Holdings that recently held the first-ever Halloween Spa Party in Singapore. I want to thank all who participated in the giveaway and also congratulations to those who have won! The party had various treats like head massage, ear candling and manicure. We had tons of fun taking selfies (of which I won the best instagram photo contest), enjoying ice cold beer as well as breathtaking performances. Sohgail and I made an appointment the week after the party for the full body massage complimentary from Mary Chia. Scroll down for the review for the body massage.

The day of the massage treat, we were warmly welcomed by the ladies dressed in SIA kebaya uniforms which I felt was pretty weird. Aren't there better uniforms?! Why copy our national airline's? haha
Moving on, we were ushered to our separate changing rooms to prep for our massage.

The male toilet was spacious with lockers to safe-keep valuables. Showers were partitioned from the clothes hook, which I feel is thoughtful to prevent clean clothes from getting soaked while bathing. There is also a steam room at the far end of the toilet.

Safari themed massage beds are in tents rather than the usual rooms.

Safari-themed massage gowns which I think looks fugly and wasn't properly washed as it reeked of stale yucky stench.

Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves and it was a worthy
day off away from our assignments and exams.
Prices are pretty affordable compared to those that I frequent at malls but one thing for sure is that the location has gotta be a letdown. I'll recommend this place to those who stay in the west or those who study at Pulau NTU like me.
Drive there if you can,
you'll thank me for that.

V.TIVATE
[pronounce: VEE-TEE-VATE]
A revolutionary mist-spray that defies gravity and time!

Early November, We went for Mary Chia's new product launch event that showcased the first-ever face lifting and hydrating mist spray. Unfortunately, due to exams and assignments, I can only share my joy and excitement now.

So we were told that it takes just 10 minutes for the mist spray to lift and hydrate our skin, giving us the V-face that we are dying to have.

Apparently it takes just 3 easy steps to achieve 4 miraculous benefits!
Let me take you through...

Step 1: Spray V.TIVATE onto the face and neck area

Step 2: Lightly massage V.TIVATE on your forehead, cheekbones and marionette lines

Step 3: Let it dry naturally, or get someone to fan you like a king LOL

With this 3 simple steps, notice that my left cheek magically became firmer and defied gravity!

The skin specialist used a hydration meter and recorded an improvement from 42.4% to 62.4% hydration of my skin.

The four benefits:
1) Lifting
2) UV Defense
3) Hydrating
4) Regeneration

All those goodness in one tiny bottle. If that's not spectacular I don't know what is.

MU V.TIVATE by Mary Chia amazes me every single time I use it. Never fails me, allowing my face to finally see the light of being sharp.  For ladies out there who worry about smudging your make-up while using this product do not have to worry a bit. MU V.TIVATE is suitable for both women and men of all ages and skin types, is easy to use and you can even use it over your make-up any time of the day.

However, all good things come with a price tag.
Quite a hefty one for this in fact.
$68 for 5ml and $388 for the 50ml bottle.
They are available at all Mary Chia and Urban Homme outlets.

If you're vain like me and willing to starve yourself a little for that lift in your face,
I say go for it and I assure that you wont be disappointed!

14 September 2014

Attended the grand opening of Le Spa's second outlet
located a stone's throw away from Beauty World Plaza.

Le Spa is a 24 hours massage parlour which integrates traditional oriental therapies and modern technologies with a new perspective. They allow the new era of society to revamp their routine lifestyle for those who loves to pamper themselves and/or their loved ones.

Check out their affordable massages below.

I was fortunate to check out the 'Le Urban Fusion'
(a fusion between balinese and chinese) for 1.5 hours.
and I must say, it was SHIOK!

The massages I purchased elsewhere like foot and back massages are pretty okay,
however Le Spa definitely win hands down in terms of ambience and service.
It was actually a new experience for me and I enjoyed it especially as
I was there on a date with my love. Speaking of which, please inform the therapist
if certain areas of your body tends to get ticklish. It was just hilarious watching her squeal
and giggle throughout while enjoying the knots being removed on the un-ticklish body of mine.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

For some of us who may be concerned with whether the place is 'clean',
be assured that the therapists from Le Spa are professionals and would actually feel
insulted when subjected to indecent behaviour, as claimed by their 'No Indecency Policy'.
Now we can feel at ease and stop judging if this place is dodgy or 'lapsap'(dirty in hokkien).

Enjoy the Promotion while it lasts!

Fun fact: Did you know that Singapore is the birth place of Tiger Beer

Since 1932, Tiger Beer has been using their signature blue livery that many are familiar with. This year, to celebrate Singapore's birthday, Tiger Beer dons patriotic red and white like our nation's flag.

This limited edition red and white livery comes in packs of 10 x 330ml cans and are retailing at a recommended price of $25.60 at all major supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Apart from cocktails like long island iced tea and gin & tonic, I must say
beer (or angmoh liangteh) is my next favourite alcoholic drink of choice.
And I kid you not, Tiger Beer has always been my number 1 beer.

Though I think I had way too much to drink thanks to the overly friendly
and warm staff from Tiong Bahru Bar (used to be Tiong Bahru Bakery).

If I were to live around Tiong Bahru, TBB will definitely be one of my preferred chill out
spots. The staff are friendly, food is yummy and there were plenty of cozy sofas too.

No drinking sessions would be complete without some delectable finger food. Oh gosh, I am still salivating thinking about those luncheon meat strips, mantou with chilli crab sauce, sliders and best of all, luncheon meat CHIPS! yes you heard me, it was my first time knowing that such simple staple could turn into a heavenly nibble.

The crew from Vagabond Ink were also down, tattooing those proud to call themselves Singaporeans.
Take a look at these impressive designs at Vagabond Ink.

All in all, it was a great night out with the boys with many drinks, munchies, games and laughter!
With all appreciation , I would like to thank Tiger Beer for the fantastic night
and William for the invite! Click here to check out his blog (:
